Privacy Policy

What we collect on Built4.Fun, why, and what we don't.

Effective date: April 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes what personal data built4.fun collects when you visit the website or buy something from it. The site is operated by Built4.Fun. Each of our apps (Jinshu, TeenyWriter) has its own privacy policy hosted at its own subdomain, which covers data collected inside the app.

1. What we collect on the website

Built4.Fun is a static marketing site. We do not run our own analytics, run ad pixels, or set tracking cookies. The website itself stores nothing about you beyond what your browser caches normally and one optional localStorage entry recording your language choice.

2. What's collected when you buy

When you purchase the Jinshu Lifetime activation code, the checkout is handled by Stripe. Stripe collects what's necessary to process payment:

  • Your email address (used to deliver the activation code)
  • Billing details and payment method (handled and stored by Stripe β€” we never see your full card number)
  • Country and, where required by law, tax / VAT details

Stripe is the data processor. See stripe.com/privacy for what they hold and how long.

After payment, we receive from Stripe:

  • The customer email (so we can send the activation code)
  • The amount, currency, country, and a Stripe payment ID (for accounting)

We store this on a server we control, used solely for fulfillment, refunds, fraud checks, and required record-keeping.

3. What we don't do

  • No advertising, no ad networks, no third-party trackers
  • No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties for marketing
  • No profiling or automated decision-making beyond standard fraud signals provided by Stripe
  • No newsletter or marketing emails β€” we only email you about your purchase

4. Activation code records

For each issued code we keep: the code itself, the customer email, the Stripe payment ID, the date issued, the date(s) activated, and which app installations consumed it. This is needed to handle refunds, support requests, abuse detection, and to honor the 5-device limit.

5. Retention

Purchase and code-activation records are kept while you may need support and for at least the period required by applicable tax / accounting law (typically 5–7 years). You can request deletion of personal data we directly control after that retention requirement expires.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing (e.g. GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA). Email happinesz@gmail.com with the email used at checkout and we'll handle it. For data Stripe holds on its own behalf, contact Stripe directly per their privacy policy.

7. Children

Built4.Fun is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Children may use our consumer apps with a parent's involvement; see each app's own privacy policy for details.

8. International transfers

Data may be transferred to and stored in jurisdictions where Stripe and our hosting providers operate (currently Cloudflare's global edge). We rely on the providers' standard contractual clauses for cross-border transfers.

9. Changes

If we change this policy materially, we'll update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify recent customers by email.

10. Contact

Privacy questions: happinesz@gmail.com.
