Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at built4.fun and any digital goods purchased through it (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Built4.Fun ("we", "us"). By using the Service or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

1. What we offer

Built4.Fun is the home page of a small studio. The site:

• Introduces our apps — Jinshu (multilingual reading) and TeenyWriter / 小小作家 (Chinese diary writing for kids). Each app has its own terms hosted at its own subdomain; those terms apply to the apps themselves.
• Sells one digital good directly: a Jinshu Lifetime activation code for E-Ink and Android devices, paid through Stripe Checkout.

Subscriptions, in-app purchases, and other distribution channels (App Store, Google Play, Taobao) are governed by the respective platform's terms.

2. The Jinshu Lifetime activation code

a) What you get

A single activation code that unlocks Jinshu Premium on up to five (5) Android or E-Ink devices, with no expiry. Includes future updates to the Jinshu app on those platforms.

b) Delivery

After successful payment, the code is sent to the email you provided at checkout, normally within minutes. If you don't receive it within 24 hours, check spam first, then email us at happinesz@gmail.com.

c) Use

Activation codes are intended for individual or family use across your own devices. Do not resell or publicly share codes — codes that are detected as compromised may be revoked.

d) Refunds

You may request a refund within seven (7) days of purchase. See the Refund Policy for details.

3. Pricing & taxes

Prices are shown in USD. Stripe handles payment processing and may apply currency conversion if you pay with a non-USD card. Where required, Stripe collects sales tax / VAT on our behalf and remits it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to bypass payment, generate fraudulent codes, or chargeback after using a code in good faith
• Reverse-engineer or interfere with the site's infrastructure
• Resell our digital goods without permission

5. Intellectual property

The site copy, code, and brand assets ("built4.fun", the wordmark, and the cumulative product designs) are owned by Built4.Fun. You retain ownership of anything you create in our apps; please see each app's own terms.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website, the Stripe checkout, or downstream services. We make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver activation codes promptly and to keep the Jinshu apps working on supported devices.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts at the operator's place of residence, or via Stripe's dispute resolution process where applicable.
